At least 44 Heads from Government Records offices on Friday May 17, 2024 attended five-day training on File Series Management held at the Management Development Institute (MDI) in Kanifing.
Organized by the National Records Service (NRS) under the Ministry of Public Service (MoPS) with support from the Management Development Institute (MDI).
The aimed of the training was to create and enhance awareness among heads from Government Records Offices about the use of file series in organizing information to support the functions and activities of an agency.
Moreover, heads of Records Offices are expected to monitor the series in use and ensure that they meet the institution’s requirements, thus the training will also deepen their understanding to determine which files they should open.
